Krka Awards 2026 / 23.10.2026

Dr. Eirini Andreasidou and Dr. Maria Laimou Geraniou, researchers at the Department of Environmental Sciences of the Jožef Stefan Institute, are among the recipients of the 56th Krka Awards in 2026.

Dr. Eirini Andreasidou received the Krka Award for her doctoral research entitled “Uptake, Translocation, and Risks of Contaminants of Emerging Concern in Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) Cultivation Using Treated Wastewater and Sludge”, conducted under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ester Heath and co-supervision of Dr. Ana Kovačič.

Dr. Maria Laimou Geraniou received the Krka Award for her doctoral research entitled “Psychoactive Pharmaceuticals and New Psychoactive Substance Residues in Wastewater and Receiving Waters: Epidemiological and Environmental Investigation”, conducted under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ester Heath.
