New article published in Environmental Research / 12.11.2025

Researchers from the Department of Environmental Sciences — dr. Jan Gačnik, dr. Klara Žagar and dr. Polona Vreča — together with the collaborators, have published a new article in Environmental Research.

The idea for the study originated during the department’s strategic days, leading to a comprehensive analysis of four decades of isotopic composition in precipitation in Slovenia. The results provide valuable insights into how climate change is reflected in long-term isotope trends.

The article is accompanied by extensive Supplementary Material, including the complete datasets of isotopic composition of precipitation from Ljubljana and Portorož, as well as links to the analytical code used for data analysis.
