Participation at the open day of olive oil research institute and press conference in relation to the RealMed project
On Wednesday, 20th of July a group form our department attended the »Open day of olive oil research institute«. The event was held in Science and Research Centre of Koper. Main topic of the gathering was the presentation of the RealMed project and discussion about the truffle research in Slovenia. Topics, such as the possibilities of truffle cultivation in Slovenia, the problems concerning the adulterations of truffle products, cooperation between different institutions and individuals in the truffle research area, the idea of the establishment of the truffle research institute, were discussed.
Part of the gathering was also a press conference where among other speakers prof. dr. Nives Ogrinc presented the ReelMed projects goals and visions for the press. Other speakers presented topics such as the researches about olive groves irrigation and usefulness of olive pomace.
