Participation in the ETP Food for Life Events in Brussels / 13.03.2026
On 26–27 February 2026, the ETP Food for Life community met in Brussels to discuss the Implementation Action Plan (IAP) 2025, a roadmap for advancing research and innovation supporting the transformation of Europe’s food system. ETP Food for Life is a European Technology Platform that brings together industry, researchers, and policymakers to define research and innovation priorities that strengthen the sustainability, resilience, and competitiveness of the European food sector.
More information about the platform is available here:

The programme began with a Food for Life Expert Network (FLEN) workshop, where members exchanged views on the implementation of the Action Plan and on strengthening collaboration between the ETP Leadership Team and the FLEN network.
The discussions continued during the ETP Food for Life Annual Event, “From Vision to Action: Implementing Innovation for a Sustainable and Competitive Food System,” which focused on translating research priorities into concrete actions and scaling innovation through collaboration.
Prof. Dr. Nives Ogrinc, a member of the FLEN network, contributed to the preparation of the IAP and attended the events in Brussels where the plan was presented and discussed.
