Open position for a PhD student fellowship / 20.06.2019

The Department of Environmental Sciences at the Jožef Stefan Institute is seeking for outstanding, highly motivated candidate interested in pursuing PhD research in the framework of the Horizon 2020 European Joint Programme on Radioactive Waste Management.

The student will be involved in characterizing degradation of organic materials exposed to radiation and quantification of organic-cement interactions with sorption and diffusion experiments of selected organic molecules.

The candidate should have completed MSc in chemistry, chemical engineering, pharmacy, environmental sciences, geology, or equivalent field. The experience in working with GC-MS/MS, LC-MS/MS and/or conducting sorption and diffusion experiments is an asset.

The candidate will be enrolled at the Jožef Stefan International Postgraduate School on the study programme Ecotechnology.
