The medical staff of the Gynaecological maternity department, General Hospital Celje, visited our Department to honor our collaboration in establishing a longitudinal birth cohort study in Celje and its surroundings.
We proudly present some of the exceptional achievements of the previous year captured in a brochure. The brochure is the result of the teamwork of all the employees of the department and a good proof of how useful and fruitful cooperation between different fields can be.
The European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA) published the results of the latest international SCORE monitoring campaign (SCORE 2022), which aims to track trends in illicit drug use.

In the school year 2022/23, we have started the research activity "Let's become a scientist" at Vodice Primary School, where we investigate the characteristics of the environment through observation and sensor technologies - we observe and measure noise, air quality, heat distribution in space, and study how all these factors affect our health and well-being.
First week after short New Year holidays, co-workers from the Department of Environmental Sciences, dr. Jože Kotnik, dr. Igor Živković, and Jan Gačnik performed sampling and measurement of different mercury fractions in flue gases of the Cement Plant Anhovo. Work was conducted within planned field samplings of the MercOx project.
At the ceremony in Cankarjev dom, 15 awards and recognitions of the Republic of Slovenia were awarded for outstanding scientific research and development achievements.
At O-2 we celebrated the addition of a new research infrastructure - the Orbitrap mass spectrometer and renovated laboratories - with a ceremonial opening.
