The ERA Chair ISO-FOOD “ERA CHAIR FOR ISOTOPE TECHNIQUES IN FOOD QUALITY, SAFETY AND TRACEABILITY” at Jožef Stefan Institute aims at strengthening its research excellence related to organic contaminants in food.
ERA Chair for isotope techniques in food quality, safety and traceability (ISO-FOOD) organizes a spring school on application of isotope and elemental analyses in food analysis for determination of its origin and authenticity. The school will take place on April 4-7, 2017, and is dedicated to national stakeholders.

The Department of environmental sciences (O2) has achieved excellent results in EU interlaboratory comparison of the determination of As and Hg in EURL-HM-21 kaolinitic clay using k0- INAA and CV-AAS.

Two groups of young researchers from OŠ Spodnja Šiška, who conducted research at their school under external mentorship from Department of Environmental Sciences within the CITI-SENSE project, were awarded with a trip to Verona and Gardaland by participation into "Zaupajmo v lastno ustvarjalnost" - competition amongst primary and secondary schools in Ljubljana.
